Wrege Associates: Auction Consultants and Software Development

About Us

Auction Consultants and Software Development
Wrege Associates was founded in 2005 by Karen Wrege, who served as Chief Information Officer for the Federal Communications Commission Auction Program and was responsible for developing the first simultaneous multiple round auction and supporting software system for the FCC in 1994. These auctions have generated billions of dollars for the United States Treasury.

Wrege was also responsible for developing the Universal Licensing System (ULS) for the FCC that combined twelve existing software systems into a single repository for all wireless licenses in the United States. This system was the first of its kind in the world and has helped to facilitate the spectrum secondary market in the US.

Since 2005, Wrege Associates has worked with large wireless telecommunications providers including Verizon Wireless, Comcast Cable, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, US Cellular, and Qualcomm in a variety of capacities to improve their spectrum holding positions in the US.
Wrege Associates also provides auction support to governments with intangible assets for sale. Past clients include the US Federal Government, Industry Canada, Trinidad and Tobago.

Additional Services
In addition to auction consulting and software development services, Wrege Associates provides expert testimony in auction cases, provides public policy advice to governments and conducts research studies for international telecommunications associations.
